Bereavement Counselling I provide Bereavement Counselling to people who've experienced any type of loss.

Grief turns our lives inside out and upside down. I help people to ' lean in' to their loss and grief and in doing so, to understand how it affects them, and how they can work with their grief and not push it away so much. I help people to create what are known as 'continuing bonds' with the person (or place...or...) they've lost rather than feel that they must sever these important bonds because the person (or place...) is no longer in their lives as before.

Grief therapy is my passion and commitment. I've over 30 years' experience in this important area of our human experience, first of all as a parish priest, then as a NHS Healthcare Chaplain, and, since 2018, in my own Private Practice.

Accredited as a Therapist with the National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists (NCIP), and a Professional Member of the Association of Counselling and Therapy Online (ACTO), you can be assured of my professional standards and adherence to ethical practice.

I offer a free taster session either in person in Edinburgh, by video call, or by phone.

My regular charge is £50 per hour. I offer the first 6 appointments at a reduced rate of £45 per hour. If you're strapped for cash, then further reductions are also available. Please mention this and we can talk about it!

Shamanic Healing In recent years, I've taken the Shamanic path, training as a Shamanic Practitioner.

Shamanism is an ancient way of life - a spiritual path - finding new expressions today. A nature-based path of direction revelation, Shamanism provides us with practical strategies for everyday living.

A Shamanic healing always begins with a conversation about your story, including any health problems being experienced. Your story, and its landscape, provide important clues to the Shamanic healing work I'll undertake for and with you.

Various healing resources are available in and through Shamanism, including deep energy work, all of which can help improve our mental and physical health
